“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. We are daily faced with life’s challenges. In fact, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ “promised” us trouble! “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). If God knew we are going to suffer in life, He also knew how to solve the problem.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 29:11-14(a)
God says we would suffer some challenges and also promises to fulfill His good plans for our lives. The only requirement He wants from us is to pray to Him, to seek Him with all our heart.
MY BOOK OF PRAYERS endeavors to create a prayer passion in the life of someone who is seeking God on issues they need answers to. It starts with a rich endeavor to lead the reader into a place of worship of God, a prerequisite for successful prayer. There is also a call to pray in faith because, without faith, prayer is a waste of time.
The reader can then pick a topic that is important to them and pray. The biggest attraction of this book is the use of scriptures – the Word of God – to pray.
In all, the author’s passionate desire is that through this book, many people will be inspired to pray on a regular basis. The book allows the owner to personalize the prayers and own the flow. Hence, the title, MY BOOK OF PRAYERS.
